The quality comes from old sturdy roots of grape vines that were planted with care and dedication by our forefathers as well as the new plantings that are derived from the old. “As the vines grew old, the new was made from them. The new must always have room to sink their roots and the mature are entitled to their respect.”

The building includes an area designed to receive the grapes from the harvest, a pneumatic press, special tanks for pre-fermentation and stainless steel fermentation tanks for white and red vinification including an automated cooling system.

Inspection is continuous throughout every stage to ensure superior standards and producing great wines.

Natural climate control

After bottling, the wines rest in ideal conditions until they are ready to be enjoyed by the market. The maturing and aging of the wine occurs in the cave where the natural stone and underground constant temperature and humidity conditions provide the perfect environment. The bottling area accommodates a modern bottling system which has a packing capability of 1000 bottles per hour.

Lagria Winery

The construction began with phase 1 in1991 and completion of phase two for expansion was in 2005. The winery was built to replicate a heritage house. “Its stones show gold when the light strikes them and windows are many.”
